I'm Suyogya Shukla, an Enterprise Platform Support Engineer at WordPress VIP (the enterprise division of Automattic), where I help run some of the most complex and high-traffic WordPress sites on the planet. I've been in the WordPress ecosystem for over nine years now — and it all started when I was 12, in the 6th grade, teaching myself HTML and CSS.
I grew up in a middle-class family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. My parents never imposed rigid career expectations, which gave me room to follow my instincts. I stumbled onto WordPress early, started freelancing as a teenager, and never really looked back. By 18, I was already working professionally — building themes, supporting users, and figuring out how the web actually works under the hood.
Before VIP, I spent several years doing other things at Automattic — the company behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Pocket Casts, and more — where I went from Happiness Engineer to Senior Product Support & CX Engineer, with a stint in management along the way. I've done support, product work, customer experience strategy, and now enterprise infrastructure. The throughline is always the same: I like helping people get the most out of WordPress.
When I'm not working, I'm usually on Reddit reading about aviation, getting unreasonably excited about some new piece of tech, playing with my two dogs, or writing about whatever's on my mind over on my thoughts page.

When we met Mayo, she was a tiny, blind puppy her breeder had given up on. At three weeks old, separated from her mother too early, she was a fighter with a big heart. We adopted her and, thanks to a top vet hospital in India, she regained her sight. Now at 8, our food-loving Mayo, named for her white coat, fills our lives with love and mischief.

In New Delhi, we found Mione, a tiny underdog outsmarted by streetwise canines. She joined our family when she was a super scared pup — now, six years later, she's our canine Hermione Granger. Mione loves belly rubs and chill 'me time'. Our little wizard in fur, she conjures cozy spots for naps, small but mighty with an enchanting personality.
